This nutrient is rich fish, meat, beef and some non vegetarian food. But it is not completely available in vegetarian food. But some amino acids are available in nuts, beans and spices. Complete nutrition is not available through vegetarian food. So the vegetarian people have to take variety of foods to get this nutrient completely. Normal people who do not work on their body have to take needed level of protein. There is no store room in our body for this nutrient. But the macronutrients such as fats and carbohydrates can be stored in our body. The excess protein in the body is converted into urea which affects functions of kidney and liver. It also causes cholesterol, osteoporosis, and arthritis. Deficiency of this nutrient causes a disease called kwashiorkor. Some of the symptoms of this disease are loss of hair, premature skin, and low level of hemoglobin in blood.
